GERMAN PROPAGANDA IN AMERICA
' BOLOIS3I AND THE "PARIS ! JOURNAL." (Rec. December 22, 5.5 p.m.) Washington, December 19. Mr. Alfred Becker* Deputy AttorneyGeneral of New York, giving evidence before the Senate Pro-German Propaganda Committee, said that 8010, Pasha sought unsuccessfully to get tho president of tho Bethlehem Steel Company to purchase the "Paris Journal," 8010 camouflaging his real sympathies towards Hearst. There was nothing to show that the "Pan's Journal" had changed its loyalty to France because of German financing. It was apparent that the whole thing, so far as the newspaper was concerned, was a pure swindle.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
