Shi was 78 years of age. Her nephew, Cap tain Fletcher, of Saltoun, succeeds to tU fortune. The late Hiss Talbot was thi eldest daughter and co-heir of Hr. Christopher P. Jlansef Talbot, who sat in Par] liament as one of tho old Liberals for at unbroken period of 60 years, and was th< father of the House of Commons. Tht property she leaves comprises the whol« of the Ehonddai Valley, Glamorganshire; which includes some immensely rich collieries. , i Miss Talbot built a fine church to the memory of her father at Port Talbotj Her gifts to charities were many, but no one ever know how much she gave, foi it was her custom to subscribe a sum. in her own name and then add larger domv; tions anonymously. To the War Loan last year ft was rumoured that she suki scribed £1,000,000. Morgan Abbey, where Prince Arthur of Connaught was tnined in 1910, is a magnificent place, 1 with a park seven miles round.
