ABOUT A BATHING SHED

At the meeting of the City Council last evening the Baths and Beaches Committee reported that it had received a ~ deputation from the Lyall Bayi Surf 'Slid Life-Saving Club with reference to the club's accommodation on the Lyall Bay beach. The club reminded the couii- , . cil that when it gave up the bulk of its shed for the use of women bathers it was promised the return of the room at the termination of the war, and when its members came back from the front. The deputation 6aid that the club could manage.for the present season with the ■ existing room. The committee, on behalf of the council, informed the club that tha generosity that characterised the club's action in helping the council was very much appreciated, and tha club that the whole of its former accommodation would' be made available immediately after the close of the present season. The action of the committee was approved.
