THE LYTTELTON SERVICE. ' The Marine Department was yesterday unable to secure a full crew for cither the Hinemoa or. the Tutnneka.i. An endeavour will be made to-day to send tho Kinemoa to Lyttelton with passengers, and mails, as otherwise there will be no steamer for the South Island to-night. Should a. crow be engaged for the Tntanekai she will sail in place of tlio llincmoa, and will continue to relievo tno Maori, while the Hinemoa will go on her way as a lighthouse tender.
THE NELSON BOAT. Railing at 6 this morning for Nelson, the Nikau will take between 90 und 100 passengers.' Her overhaul will be started tomorrow, and the Kaitoa will relieve her. She wiU sail from Nelson at 6 a.m. on Friday, returning from Wellington to Nelson at six on Saturday morning.
OVERSEAS MOVEMENTS. Sinco the cessation of hostilities the following arc the first announcements of tho movements of overseas shipping to and from New Zealand:—
The Cunard Line advises as follows:— Tho PORT ALMA is now at Wellington waiting to completo loading wool and meat lor Egypt, from whence she will return to New Zealand.
Tho PORT SYDNEY is due at Wellington about November 29 from London, via Sydney. She is to load wool and meat for Egypt.
The PORT LYTTELTON is now outward bound from London to Melbourne Sydney, Auckland, and Wellington.
Tho PORT HACKING is about to leave London for Melbourne, Auckland, end Wellington, via Panama Canal. The New Zealand Shipping/Company has at the moment only two steamers on the coast, and in consequence of the epidemic their movements are uncertain. Tho REMUERA is at Port Chalmers, and from there is to preeced to Timaru, Lyttelton, and Wellington, thence. London. The PAPAROA arrived at Wellington from Port Chalmers, via Gisborne, on Monday. She has yet (o load at Gisborne and Napier, and will then come to Wellington for her linal dispatch to Loudon.
Willi tho lengthening of the days' the Mararoa's departure for Lyttelton has been put back to 4.30 p.m. The departure of the liaraivn from Onehunga to New Plymouth has been postponed to to-morrow.
The Auckland olliee of the Union Company advises that as the Arahura has been delayed there her sailing from Napier for Gisborne and Auckland is uncertain.
The R.M.S. Niagara sailed from Auckland for Vancouver on Saturday evening. Owing to the epidemic and other reasons the vessel was delayed looser at Auckland than was expected when she arrived from Sydney. A large quantity of cargo was shut out of the vessel owing to thofe being uo labour available on the day of the armistice, and also through the waterside workers stopping work at 5 p.m. ou Friday and /Saturday. The barque Rothsay Bay sailed for Melbourne from Auckland on Sunday with a cargo of timber.
The Island steamer Flora has bccii delayed for some time with the influenza epidemic, and it is not known' when snu will be dispatched to the Eastern Paeiiie. It i 3 stated that Wio crew will not take the vessel to sea while there is any danger of an outbreak occurring—Auckland •■Star."
The barque Daniel is at present at Wangauui, discharging her cargo of case oil. The influenza epidemic has interfered considerably with the work of discharging, and it is likely she will proceed to another port upon the completion of same. Tho Arahura, Flora, Whangape, and Rakanoa arc still hung up indefinitely at Auckland owing to the shortage of seamen through so many hciug ill with influenza. The Poherua is still laid up at Onehunga. The barquontine Senorita left San Francisco for Auckland with a cargo of case oil on September 28. She should arrive about the beginning' of next.mouth. The R.M.S. Makura, which left Vancouver on November 8, is expected to arriyo at Auckland about Thursday week. Tho Carpentaria, which is at Auckland, is to proceed lo London with general cargo about the cud of the week. Tho Union Company's cargo steamer Kauri left Melbourne on November M with a cargo of wheat for Auckland. Sho is due there at tho end .of tho week. Tho Island steamer Talune was expected to leave Suva- for Auckland on Saturday. The Richardson steamer Mako is still held up in-Napier with six of her crew in the hospital suffering from'influenza. Tho Australian barquontine Alexa arrived at Auckland from San Francisco on Friday after an uneventful passage of 71 days. Hor. cargo is case oil. The sudden appearance, in port vectorday of the ex-harbour tug Admiral, with her red-bonded funnel, was accounted for by the urgent need for medicines and coke at the hospitals at, Picton and Blenheim, both of which are crowded with influenza patients. Captain Gordon, harbourmaster at Piclon, brought lh,o Admiral across.
