GREAT ADVANCE BY THE AMERICANS
Ottawa, November. 11. The Canadians have captured Mons — Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.-Reuter.
London, November 11, 2.4-5 a.m. An American comirunique states:— "Our First and Second Armies gained considerably in a series of local operations at many points between the Xleuap and the Moselle. The First Atmy, with French units, reached the southern outskirts of Sten&y, and occupied the Bois de Chenois. Southwards of Baalon they took Giberoy, Abaucourt, • and Grimacourt. In the Woeuvre the Second Army penetrated the enemy lines, and drove 'him from several strongly-helu -positions. We took Marcheville and St. Hilairo, and cleared the eliemy from the Bois do Martin."—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.. Router. i
