SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY

A concert was provided for seafarers by Mr. A. Boyd at the Sailors' , Friend Society ton. 'fhuraday. The following contributed items:—Mesdames iSkews, A[orgaa, Cartor, and . Batson, and the Misses Peggy Jones and Bateon, and Messrs. Pickett, Pxice, Hoole, B, Pitton, Skinner, and W. Jones. Mojdames Morgan were at the piano. The singing of the Fronoh National Antliem by. the French eailors, and the Britiah National Anthem by our own men, lont vim to tho proceedings. Mr. Mooro, missioner, spoke on "In Drink end Out," and names were added to the pledge. book. Tho competitions took a useful place in tho proceedings. A motion of sympathy with the sick sailors in port was passed.
