NO INVITATION TO NEW ZEALAND YET RECEIVED.. The representation of New Zealand at the Peace Conference was a, matter referred to in the House of Representatives yesterday afternoon. Mr. J. Craigie (Timaru) introduced tlie subject by asking the Prime Minister whether he would make a statement to the House as to whnt he intended to do with regard to New Zealand's representation at the Conference. "We are doing, and have done, a great deal hi this war," said Mr.! Croigie, "and I think it is imperative ihat New Zealand should be represented at the peace table. I wish the Prime Minister would make a statement." • •

"I may say that at present I have ho information to convey to the Houeo on the important eubject which has been introduced, for the simple reason that I have received bo communication on the matter," replied the Prime Minister.From indications which appeared in the cablegrams from day to day it seemed that a Peace Conference would be convened at a fairly early date. He could not express any opinion as to when that date would be. "I have not the slightest doubt but that Now Zealand will be asked to send either one or two representatives to attend the Conference when it is arranged," added Mr. Maosey. Upon receipt of the invitation it would be referred.to Cabinet for consideration. When Cabinet had come to a decision on the matter ho would be glad to convey that decision to the House. I
