PROHIBITION IN CANADA

In the annual report of the New Zealand Alliance the present situation of Prohibition in Canada was clearly stated. At the outbreak of war only ono of the nine Canadian provinces, Prince Edward Island, was under National Prohibition. On May 1, 1919, the entire Dominion will be under complete Prohibition, with the single exception of Ontario, and the enactments are permanent. In Ontario a referendum is to bo taken on the subject at the close of the war; but it is regarded ns certain'that Prohibition will bo endorsed by such a referendum. - '
