RED CROSS "OUR DAY" FLAG DRIVE
The question frequently asked is "What is the meaning of the Red Cross in the windows?" It is a silent but tangible recognition of rppreciation. of the services rendered by the Red Cross Society in succouring tho sick and wounded. Oi:ly a few days remain now for those'who wish to contribute towards the "Our Day" Fund, for which His Majesty the King, in a manifesto published in our columns a fewj days ago, expressed his appreciation and eulogy of the magnificent work of the British Red Cross Society. It is hoped that everyone will contribute any sum, no matter how large or how small, to this great and worthy cause. The larger flags iepresent a donation of 55., and the smaller flags Is., so everyone has au opportunity of contributing according to circumstances. Let the windoivs tell the story. Those who have flags show their appreciation, those, who have not should do so. Collectors are in every district, or purchases may be made from the office, 830 Lambton Quay.
