EXTENDING THE CHARTER. (Rec. October Gf, 5.5 p.m.) , London, October 4. ' At a meeting of shareholders of the Bank of Australasia the resolution authorising an increase of capital and an extension oi tb,e charter to permit the bank to trade' beyond its present limits was adopted. The chairman- said that they ought to be freo from out-of-date restrictions. They had no present intention of going outsido the limits of the charter, but they ought to be able to if pnd when the occasion aroso.-j-Aus.-N.Z.- Cable Assn.
