INCREASED PRODUCTION CAMPAIGN
LIVE'STOCK IN CANADA.
The effect of tho iucreased production campaign, in Western Canada is already noticeable, reports the London "Times." All over the country, farmers ore enlarging and improving their herds,' while many others, desiring _to emulate their success, are. entering inked farming in earnest. Besides feel-' ■ing it a patriotio duty to produce as much food as possible, more and more farmers are finding the mixed farming in Western Canada, pays. Of course, this is not a now realisation. The most successful farmers of the west are those who have .divided their'attention , between grain growing and live stock raising, but the possibilities of jjuick returns with the former have blinded many to the advantages of tho latter. Notwithstanding tho high prices now being obtained for wheat, cats and other grains—prices which a few years ago were undreamed of—mixed farming is becoming increasingly popular among the farmers of Western Canada. Nothing is too good for them. They have money to invest, and are investing it wisely with an eye to the future. The country is continually being scoured for well-bred animals.
