PETONE V. PONEKE.
Great interest is being evinced in to-day's, match between Petone and Poneke, not only .because of the fact that the match' is the • 1918 senior championship final (replayed after a tie last Saturday), but in view"of the destination of the/'gate." The W.R.F.U. has decided that the net proceeds shall be-divided equally between: Eed Jersey Appeal, Wellington .'Copper Trail, New Zealand Tribute to Prance, Italian Red Cross Appeal, Trentham Dominion. Scholarships Fund, W.R.F.U. Injured' Players' Fund, and as there are 6000 tickets out on sale it is hoped to exceed Auckland's total of £419 realised for similar objects.-. The teams are'tho same as took the field'last Saturday, and Mr. I/. Simpson has been reappointed referee, while Messrs. 11. Fordyco and 0. .11. Cleluiid will he touch judges. ( Tho final'of the men's Charity Cup competition,. between Ramblers and Trentham A, will bo played as a "cur-tain-raiser" at 1.3 p.m.,
