KENT TERRACE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
The members of the Kent Terrace Presbyterian Church mot _ in. the schoolroom last evening to receive the thirtyfirst nnmiiil report and balance-sheet covering the twelve months ended Juno 30 last. The Rev. J. Kennedy Elliott, D.D., presided. The "report which was presented by .the session, clerk. Mr. C. S. Falconer, dealt with congregational matters. It stated that contributions to the building fund now totalled £895 10s. 2d. There was on the main roll of the Sabbath School fifty girls and forty hoys, and in the infant department forty girls and thirty-Four boys, making a total of 1(5=1. The number on the roll of the church after repeated and strict purgation was 259, the same as in the previous year. The balance-sheet presented by the honorary treasurer, Mr. J. AV. Jack, showed that with £i 2s. 2d. brought forward the revenue from all sources amounted to £1010 Os. lid., and the expenditure under all heads to £999 15s. 9d., leavinz a credit balnncp of £10 ss. 2<l. The church collections brought in £631 Bs. 7d., and miscellaueoik receipts accounted for £187 13s. 2(1. The general expenses totalled £71 1.85., stipend ami salaries £501 .Is. 4d.. property expenses £94 10s. Bd., and church assessments £2T. The report and balance-sheet were adopted after a short discussion. Special reference was made, by several speakers -to the effective and.stimulating work of the Rev. J. Kennedy Elliott." The Indies of the church provided supper, which was served at the close of the meeting.
