FOR BLIND FRENCH SOLDIERS
Lovers of art, and particularly war pictures by noted French. English, and American' 'artists which deal with war subjects, have a treat in store. An exhibition of what is probably the largest and most representative collection ever shown in New Zealand is to he opened at the Art Gallery .on Saturday afternoon. His Excellency the Karl of Liverpool has consented to perforin the opening ceremony. The exhibition is held by authority of the Department of Internal Affairs," and under the patronage of the Minister of that-Depart-ment,. His Worship the Mayor and city councillors, the French Consul, and the comniittee uc the Academy of Fi\:<2 Arts. Those unable to bo proKent at ■the. opening will have an opportunity of inspecting and purchasing the pictures during the following week. The whole Yif the proceeds will be devoted to the Ulind 'French Soldiers' Fund.. Messrs. Willy Rogers awl liaoul Uigazzi are in charge of the exhibit, both, being wounded and discharged French soldiers.
