BAIL BONDS CANCELLED. By Telcsraph.—Press Association. Auckland, September 12. An unusual application came before Mr. Hunt, S.M., this morning, when Mr ■ Selwyn Mays, ifor the Justice Department, moved to have the bail bonds of J: C. Harrison, charged with false pretences in connection, witii "\nconia" sheep dip , , cancelled. Iho bail granted was £1000, for which tho accused had found surety, and Mr. Mays made the application on tho ground that there was reason to believe the accused was about to abscond. His Worship stated that ho must have evidence on the point, and the evidence was taken privately. His "Worship made an order cancelling the bail bonds, and Harrison was taken, into custody.
