G. W. Russell) urges economy (vide article in the July '.Public Health journal''), tho Wellington Hospital Board pursues its extravagant course. When it is known that even at to-day's prices a <10roomed building could be erected in brick for ,£GOOO, I would like to know, is it going to cost jCGOOO to house the X-ray expert and his plant? Apparently the board does not care two straws what expense it involves (lie community in. Ratepayers may look confidently forward to another big increase in the levy next year."
