A marble tablet to the memory of four members of the Church of England Men's Society who had fallen in action was unveiled in St. Matthaw's Church, Masterton, on Sunday morning. The stewards of the liasterton Ifacing Club have made a donation towards the Christmas Gift Fund.
Colonel Valintine and Dr. Frengley will visit Mastertoii to-day to discuss tho question of the proposed' military wing nt the local hospital. The plans for the wing have already been prepared. They provide for twenty-one beds, a billiard-room, etc.
A motor-car accident occurred on the Bideford lfoad on Saturday night. Mr. J. W. Cnrswell was proceeding to his home, when the axle of his car broke and tlio vehicle was upset, pinning liim to the ground. Mr. Carswell suffered a severe injury to the I'liest. and was brought in to a private hospital. A lady who accompanied him ill the car escaped with a bud shaking.
