JUVENILE DRUIDS
A'he Royal Arch Chapter, TJ.A.O.D., on the motion of Bro. Mullins, recently considered a proposal for the formation of a juvenile lodge in Wellington, and the matter was referred to the various lodges for approval or otherwise, with the result that tho Coronation, Excelsior, Holly, Island Bay, Melrose, Pacific, and Pride of Brooklyn Lodges have approved of and decided to support the movenfent, and a largely-attended meeting of delegates from these lodges and the Eoval Arch Chapter was held on Monday nignt, Bro. 6. Wale presiding. Apologies were received for the unavoidable absence of Bros. Bailey, Laughton, aud Sarjeant. A committee of six, comprising Bros. ißott, Clayton, Laughton, Mollison, Mulllins, and Eubenstein, was appointed to \lraft rules and a scale of contributions and benefits and submit sauie for discussion at the next meeting of the Chapter before being submitted to the various lodges and finally forwarded through the Grand Ixxlge io the Eegistrar of Friendly Societies for approval. •, A communication was received'from the Medical Institute agreeing to take the ' boys at 2s. per quarter in advance, but no reply had been received from the Friendly Societies' Dispensary. Bro. Mullins, the promoter of the scheme, was unanimously elected secretary of the movement, and it is anticipated that it will not be long before a juvenile .'Druids' lodge will be successfully launched in Wellington and subsequently followed by the establishment of similar lodges in the large centres of the Dominion.
