YOUN T G WOMAN WARNED. The proceedings at tho Magistrate' 6 Court yesterday wero brief, and were presided over by Mr. W. J. Riddell, S.M. A young woman named Minnie Camp T bell was charged with drunkenness, and with breaking the conditions of her prohibition order. "If not careful you will he sent to Pakaioa for a year," remarked Mr. Kiddell to accused, who was lined 405., in default seven days imprisonment, for the breach of the order, and was convicted and discharged for insobriety. For insobriety, Daniol Keane was fined 205., in default three days' detention, and John Russell -was mulcted in a. penalty of 10s., or in tho alternative to spend 24 hours in gaol UNDEFENDED CIVIL CASES. Judgment by default was given for plaintiffs in the following undefended civil cases:— Richard H Hawkins v. Robert Benjamin Williams, ,f!l 14s. Bd., costs 18s.; Kirkcaldie and Stains, Ltd. v. On judgment summonses, Geo. Holloway was ordered to pay Mnnt, Cottrell and Co., Ltd., the sum of £4 9s. by August 27, in default four days' imprisonment; S. Lang was ordered to pay Mary Watson £3 15s. by August 27, in default 48 hours' imprisonment, and L. H. Wilson was ordered to pay Pursers, Ltd., £4 15s. Gd. by August 27, in default four days' imprisonment.
