AMAZING DISCLOSURES
STORY OF THE SWISS CELLULOSE COMPANY. (Rec. August 9, 7.35 p.m.) London, August 8. The report of the Select Committee .on tho Swiss Cellulose Company, registered as a British company, reveals the fact that there hns been no supervision of tho concern. The companv was also relieved of taxation, and finally got the State to pay its capita! expenditure. It secured ii monopoly of cellulose acetate, ihe principal ingredient of varnish for aeroplano wings, and received a contract of tho val'ij of ,£3,000,000. Its ' capital was in sixpenny shares. Subsequently the shareholders received J!l4 10s. shares for each sixpenny share. The chief shareholders are Dr. Dreyfus, of Basle, Vickcrs, Ltd., and the Plundemeal Trust, of -Montreal.—Aus.-N.Z.
