Oappelli, tho great Italian operatic tenor, is announced to sing in t.he Grand Opera House next Saturday evening. Signor Cappelii will ho remembered aB the principal tenor of tho late Gonzales Opera Company when that organisation recently toured the Dominion. The visiting artist possesses » voico of singular beauty, aud rich in tone. He has a phenomenal range, which he uses judiciously aud with .skill. Critics are unanimous in describing Cappolli's intonation as superb', while his temperament is a further aid in hie equipment as n very finished artist. Cappelli has a most extensive repertoire, cullcd from favourite operas, and his programme consists of masterpieces from the works of Verdi, Donizetti, Hizet, Mascagni, and other noted composers. Signor Oappelli will be supported by an excellent coterie of artists, amongst whom is Mr. John Amadio, flautist. Only three concerto will be given locally. Popular prices will be charged, and tho box plans are now open at Bristol. "MY FOUR YEARS Uf GERMANY." The attendances at tlje King's Theatre to witness tho film version of Ambasador Gerard's book "Ify Pour Years in Germany" probably constitute a Wellington record. So great are the crowds turned away that the First National Exhibitors of America have decided to screen the pic-' ture again to-inorrow (Saturday), when, for tho benoflt of scholars, an extra session will take place, commencing at 11 o'clock in tho morning. To-morrow there will be in all three sessions, at 11, 2.30, and 7.45 respectively. A nnmbor of schools have already attended the matinees en masse, and over 830 boys and girls from Brooklyn, Mount Cook, and Willis Street Schools have signified their intention of witnessing to-morrow moiuing'B screening. Soats may be boohed at the Bristol or by telephoning No. 3143. EMPRESS THEATKE. To-night will see the final screening of "The Woman in White." Commencing tomorrow a World drama, "Spurs of Sybil," will be screened. Popular Alice Brady is the star. Sybil Drew is the poor relation of a rich aunt, who has been keeping her in idleness, but who at last decides that Sybil must do something in tho way of earning her own living. How sho does so and the adventures that kofall her make an interesting story. The dressea are said to be splendid, some being of surprising modem cut.
EVERYBODY'S THEATRE. To-night will ace tlio farewell apiiearanoo at. Everybody's Thoat.ro of Norma. Talmadge in "The Law ol Compensation." At the change to-morrow little Barbara Connolly, the youngest screen star in the world, will be seen in a Triangle drama, "Little Red Decides." A baby in left an orphan on the death of her mother, and is taken by the rough mon who lhid it to the owner of a ranch. The character of tho (Jhineae cook who acts as nurse to the child is Baid to bo particularly good. The mother heart of every ivoman will, it is olaimed, be touched by the appealing swetness of "Little Bed." The story is said to appeal to all those who aro fond of children, and shows what power a. child oan have even over the roughest and hardest, of hearts. The ninth opisodo of' "The Mystery of tho Double Cross," "When Gaol Birds Fly," will aleo be shown. J. G. WILLIAMSON'S BIG REVUE.
"The Bing Boys Are Hero," to bo staged at tho Grand Opera House by J. 0. Williamson, Ltd., commencing next Wednesday night, is stated to be a medley of musio aud comedy, with a theme of happenings which sorvo as a- connecting link between a host of catchy songs and choruses, myriads of wonderful frocks, with incidental comody and burleaquo shows. All this results from the decision of tho two fling boys to visit London to boo life. It is a mupicnl extnivagana, a revue, a musical comedy, and a hugo pantomime all in ono, and it is said to be clever under each one of its separate guises. Those in the long and excellent cast chiefly and particularly responsible for the popularity of "The Bing Boys" aro Jlifiß Minnie Love and Jlr. Jack Cannot, tho latter appearing in tho humorous character of Lucifer Bing. These two artists aro said to work at high pressure throughout the performance, and then' merrymaking and touches of low tfoinedy are among the chief factors which con- | tribute to .the success of the big produc- j tion. Another favourite, Leslie Holland, I as Oliver Bing, has, it is stated, a part that suits hira to perfection, and provide,) n. most excellent foil for liis volatile brother. Other members of this splendid organization are Billy Hearne, (Iwrles Howard, William Stewart, George lirown, Ilobert M'Kinnon, Roy Seaton, l'rcd. England, and the eccentric dnncor, Clyde Cook. Also Mißses Nellie Payne, liegiua Seaton, Jtaie Baird, Myrtle Power, and .lennio Opie. This revue, it is claimed, will represent the last word in scenic and costume effects, which are as rich a? can bo made, nnd will be nlaged in Wellington exactly the namo as the Sydney and .Melbourne productions, lite box plans for the ten nights' season will open at the Bristol next Monday morning, at 9.
