THE LIQUOR TRAFFIC
■11 MILLIONS COMPENSATION. Sir James Allen, Acting-Prime- !linis j tor, stated yesterday that the Efficiency Board had agreed to the publication of the amount of compensation that tha board had opnsidered sufficient to purchase the liquor traiic in terms of tho proposal that tho State should close down tho traffic and pay compensation. The amount assessed l>y the National Efficiency Board as the value of the traffic was four millions and a half.
