HUTT VALLEY HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Hutt Valley Horticultural Society was held on Wednesday. Tlie president, Mr. H. M. Hayward, presided. Tlie report and bal-ance-sheet were adopted. Tlie president stiued that the society was in a very flourishing and satisfactory financial position, each show held during tho year (showing a credit balance. The balance now standing In the. '••redit of the society at the bank was .£56 Ms. KM. The sum of ,£!)3 las. Gd. was paid to the Minister of Defence's Wounded Soldiers' Fund, and it was resolved to remit a further amount of dCG ■Is. lid. to make up the contribution to .CIOO for the year. Mr. 11. M. Hayward was re-elected president for the forthcoming year, members expressing appreciation of the good work done by the president and his family in the interest of the society. Mr. Hayward suitably returned thanks for his re-election.
