DAIMLEH COMPANY OF GERMANY. London, J\ily 1. The "Daily Chronicle's" correspondent at Amsterdam slates that tho general meeting of the Daimler'Company was a mourntul event. The chairman said that since it had been placed under military control tho prosperity of the company had been endangered. The company pays .£1,550,000 in taxation, as compared with ,£1,500,000 paid by Kntpps, though Krupps is an infinitely bigger concern. The bank balance was .£21,500,000 m 191G, and now it was ,£15,800,000, of which sum £1,000,000 was an advance .from the military authorities. Tho dividend of 30 per cent, would be continued by tl«> company drawing upon capital — Ans.-N L Cable Assn.
