As a result of the heavy snowfall the Lnko Coleridge electrical power plant was put out of action, and numy of the industrial power plants in U'nstchurch were rendered idle. The Tramways* Board is under -contract to the i.iovernmcnt. to supply 500 kilowatts when called on, and arrangements were made to bring tho board's steam plant into operation, but even though 1000 kilowatts was actually supplied »t va3 J|r sufficient to meet half of the Cit Council's load. Owing to the short supply of current there was a great demand for oth.er illuniinants.
