Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd.. report:—At Levin, on Tuesday, we had a fair entry of both sheep and cattle, which were submitted to a fair attendance of . buyers. . Quotations:—Fat ewes, 2ln. 3d., .50s. Id.; fat wethers, 345.; light fat cov.-s, £11: 18-month steeTP,' £b 10b.: 18-month empty' heifers. £4 18s. 6d., £5 55.; 'mall heifers, in calf, £4; empty cows, £5 !3b.; £6, £7. Pork pigs, 345., 365. 6d., 545., Css., .to 90s. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile '.Agency Co. report :-At Bainesse pa Wednesday we lield a sale of dairy cows on account of Mr. Arthur Dench. The herd was a good one, and well known, and tho attendance was large. Keen competition resulted, and the herd of 31 cows made nn average of £17 19s. The best prices •were £19 10a.. £23, £23 10s„ £26, £27 lOb., '£28, £32 10s. These the firm believe to be rccord priceß for the district for crossbred cows. Springing heifers, £12 55., £15 65., £17 2s. 6d. Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report laving held their weekly sale at Levin on Tuesday, when they offered a heavy yarding of sheep. Competition was not animated, and priceß, if anything, were in buyers' favour. However, the majority 'of the yarding was disposed of under tho bammer, the-.principal sales beiriV as under '.—Prim'; fat. wethers. 355.', medium weight fat wethers, '35.; light ditto, 275.; fat lambs, 21s. 6d.; empty forward ewes, 195.. 7d.; small shorn lambs, 12b. lid. to 135.; good woolly hoggets, 235.; 2-tooth to" f.f.m. .ewes, in lamb to liomneys, 265. lOd. to 27.1. 6d.; good-conditioned 2-tooth wethers,. 30s. At the Upper Hutt sale. 011 June 27. Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., offered a. good yarding of sheep and cattle, and aithougli the weather was very wet, buyers attended in fair numbers, and a good pale resulted. A pen of extra prime heavy ewes,-offered .on account of the Government Laboratory, maclo the excellent price of 405., the purchasers being Messrs. A. and ,W. Key:!, Upper Hutt. Other sales were a,s under:—Fat. wethers. 335.; lightweight fat ewes, 245.; lightweight fat lambs. 18s.: 2 and 4-tooth store, wethers,, E9s. lOd.; fat and forward ewes, 255.
