The herd was a good one, and well known, and tho attendance was large. Keen competition resulted, and the herd of 31 cows made nn average of £17 19s. The best prices •were £19 10a.. £23, £23 10s„ £26, £27 lOb., '£28, £32 10s. These the firm believe to be rccord priceß for the district for crossbred cows. Springing heifers, £12 55., £15 65., £17 2s. 6d. Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report laving held their weekly sale at Levin on Tuesday, when they offered a heavy yarding of sheep. Competition was not animated, and priceß, if anything, were in buyers' favour.
