' In the Supreme Court Frederick Hampson and James Wilonghby, who were found guilty yestorday of obtaining money by false pretences, appeared for scntenco. Hanmson was sentenced to two years' reformative detention, and AVilloughbv was ordered to repay ,I'MI taken from two Maori women and pay «£ll costs, in dofault six months' imprisonment. David Collins ,-.nd John Davis, two returned soldiers, were charged with robbing nnU assaulting Robert Black Adams, another returned soldier, and with attempting to defeat the course of justice. Both were found guilty of assault and of attempting to dofeat the course of justice, and t-lio passing of sentence was deferred. Tho caso arose out of a fracas before tho Snzac dinner at Hastings, to j which accused were not admitted.
