MUSIC WANTED FOR SOLDIERS
Sin,—l havo been requested by mem» bers of G Company of the Forty-first Reinforcement, now in this camp, to ask you to allow me to make an appeal in. your columns for music. This is the position: We fiave over 2000 men here, and, despite highly-valued concerts occasionally given by outsiders, we have in th» main to entertain one another when off parade. There is lots of musical talent in the camp, but, not much music. W» need, therefore, songs or vocal music of all sorts, sacred, classical, humorous, comic, ragtime, or any other time. Wo need piles of music, and it is confidently believed that many of your readers will be glad to contribute to our need. What is given will be kept permanently in tlio camp, and so be made available for successive reinforcements. Pc,reels may bu sent to any of the chaplains—Chaplain Rogers, of the Church of England, Chaplain Macaulay, of the Salvation Army, or myself, at the United. They will come rail or post free if addressed to ns through the Camp Commandant. Somo friends of the soldiers who ennnot sond music might perhaps send moncv, which can be exchanged. for music.
