BOYS' INSTITUTE
On Tuesday evening the bnvs i\ero entertained with a lecture on "Snccer" by Mr. C. F. Ward, the well-known referee* Mr. Ward went over the rules of Hip, game, nnd treated each point in an interesting manner, his words bein;; listened to with keen attention and appreciation. At the conclusion, the directors th'anked him on behalf of the- bovs for the very able way he had handled his subject. 'A class is now being started on Monday and Wednesday evenings for boys who have left school but have not passed tho Sixth Standard. The Government inspector will eventually examine the class. and grant certificates to thosr who m«v pass the test. Intending pupils should' enter their names with tho director .nt the institute as early as possible The, following ■ University students, members of the Students' Christian Union, havo kindly offered their servicis as instructors, viz.: Messrs. Cousins. H. A. Anderson. 11. Milhr. P. Ma.-Mn-Smitli.-W. A. Short, and G. F. Raunders.
