May 15, 7:30 p.m.) Petrograd, May 11. When tho Soviet troops surrounded tlio anarchists' headquarters in Moscow tho anarchists refusid to surrender. Aγmoural cars then bombarded them, the anarchists replying with machine-guns and grenades, but after half an hour's fight they hoisted tho white flag. Malting is being continued in other Btreots. A wireless Russian official message states: '"The Foreign Commissary has sent a message to tho Gorman Government calling attentiqu to tho terrible position oE tho peaceful population of tho occupied regions in Wbito Russia along tho line of demarcation, where thoro Jiavo been violent pogroms, tortures, executions, Ravage treatment of workers, burning of Russian villages by Gorman nud Polish troops, and tho wiping out of tho populations of whole villages with machine-guns. The Russian Government complains that persons suspected of Bolshevik sympathies are being shot or imprisoned under terrible conditions. A reign of terror exists, and is particularly bad in tho town of Minsk nnd the districts of Bobrinsk and Viborg, where maoiy hundreds lhave been slaughtered by machine-guns.
