FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications are for moderate easterly -winds, backing to freshening northorlies, the barometer .falling everywhere soon. Expect cloudy to overcast oonditionß eenerally, and rain following in many parts of the country. • Fair and mild weather has continued generally, but foggy and showery conditions have been experienced in various parts of the country. Variable easterly breezes have prevailed, and atmospheric preseure has decreased slightly to-day A disturbance is still in evidence on the Tasman Sen, and conditions are also threaten, ing northwards of tho Dominion.
