ACCOUNTANT STUDENTS' SOCIETY

A well-atiended meeting i-f members of tho Accountant Stuilonts' Society was held Inst evening. Mr. Ernest W. Hunt (president) occupied the chair. Mr. E. A. Douglas, of tho Bank of Now South Wales, read an interesting .'iiid instructive paper on "Banking Facilities for Importers," dealing particularly with bills of exchange, and relativo shipping documents usod in connection with trading operations between the Dominion and England, America, and the Far East. An animated discussion took place at the conclusion of the reading, and a hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mr. DougIns for his paper. The president announced that at the next meeting Mr. R. B. Murphy, M.A., LL.B., B.Coin., 1M1.E.5., would deliver a lecture on "Tho Scope ami Method of Economics and its Significance for the Business Man"
