By Telegraph-Press Association. Dunedin, May 8. At Burnside to-day 225 fat cattlo were penned, and prices were easier all round: Exporters bought a few pens, helping to keep the market fairly steady. The entry exoended butchers' .requirements. Extra prime hoaVy bullocks, £12 55.; heavy, £18 IDs.,to ,£l9 155.; medium, £15 10s. to £17 ifis.; others,',£l3 upwards; best heavy coivs and heifers, to ■ £13; heavy, £10 10s. to £12; others, £7 ..upwards. Sheep.—l7W penned. Tho quality on tho whole was below average, a ]arge proportion being-' medium and' inferior ; ewes. Owing to tho short supply of prime heavy wethers, the bast sheep of this class sold' at slightly better prices than last week. All ether classes were inclined to be easier. Extra prime heavy wethons, to 50s:; prime, lOe. to 455.; medium, 355. to tos.; light, 31s. Gd. ■upwards; best prime heavy ewea, to Wa. fld.; heavy, 85s. .to 385.; medium, 2Ss. Gd. to 32a.; others, 20s. 'upwards: Lambs.— 1127 penned. Prime lanibs fit for export realised late rates, but inferior were eaaier. Extra prime heavy, to «s.; heavy, to 335. 3d.; medium, Sss. 6d. to 2Ss.; stores, 20a. upwards.
