Christchurch, May 8. , Ft is understood that the internment camp on ftipa Island is to be closed, and Von Luckncr and ICirscheiss, German prisoners of war, will bo transferred back to their old quarters on Motuihi Island. During Uie summer months the accommodation on Kipa Island for prisoners and their waris wns quite satisfactory, but in tho winter timo liipa Island is unfit for an internment camp, the general surroundings not being conducive to the good health of tho ritn.
