AN AUCKLAND ROBBERY
•» TIPISTE BOUND AND GAGGED, By Telegraph-Press Association. Auckland, May 5. A sensational story of alleged robberT on luesday has been told by a young woman, a typisto in a local office. Sho states that on the evening in question she was working overtime, and about sis o'clock was surprised at the entry into the office of two young men. The taller of tho two stepped in. and picked up her coat from off tho table and threw it round her head, while tho other man clasped her hands behind her back, and ran her into tho manager' 6 office. Hero tho taller man, finding a woollen scarf, tied it outsido tho coat round her head, rendering hof incapablo of calling for assistance, and almost preventing breathing. He then relieved the younger man of his charge, and ordered him to "net to it." The younger man evidently understood, for tho young woman heard his footsteps as he proceeded to tho table and lifted the keys and opened tho door of tho safe, removing all tho silver. Tho man at tho safe moved out of the office, and when ho had evidently reached tho main entrance tho young woman's hands were released, and the man decamped afong with his raato.
