ANZAC DAY IN SYDNEY
FIVE THOUSAND NEW ZEALANDEKS PARTICIPATED: Sydney, April 2G. Five thousand returned 6oldiers, including a number of New Zealanders, participated in' the Anzac Day procession. Seveaty-fivo motor-cars were tilled with those who were unable to walk. There wero big celebrations in the other capitals.—Press Assn. THE "DAY" IN LONDON. (Eec. April 2G, 3.30 p.m.) London, April 25. Three thousand people, including Sir Thomas Mackenzie (Hidi Commissioner for' New Zealand) and one thousand Auzacs, mostly convalescents, attended the' Anzac Day service in the Central Hall. Chaplains Luxford and Ross, of New Zealand, participated in the service. The preacher paid a. tribute to the, Anzaes.and the Navy, and also, specially, the Twenty-ninth Division, and the heroism and self-sacrifice of nil concerned. Three hundred soldiers attended tho service in Westminster Cathedral. Sir Thomas Mackenzio was present. Chaplain Richards, of Now Zealand, was tho cele- ] brant at . tho Mass.—Au-s.-N.Z.
