Christchurch, April 17. ■ At Addington Market the yardings of almost all classes of stock were larger than in the previous week, and .there was-a weaker tone in the market for both fats and stores. . Although . fat lambs were not quotably lower there was jiot-such keen competition. Tat'cattle were lower by about 20s. per head, ex- :. port ibuyers having reduced their'limit to 42a. 6d. per 1001b. Fat sheep' also eased somewhat in value, though-export-ers were operating on all suitable lines. All classes of store sheep, were easier, but more business was done at the lower rates. Store cattle were dull of sale, and could only be disposed of at lower rates than those ruling a short time ago. Good dairy cows sold well, as did all classes of pigs.
