THE GEMMELL'S CROSSING MURDER
A WARRANT ISSUED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Oamaru, April 17. Yesterday afternoon a warrant was issued t'ur "the arrest of Onslow Meyhew in cojmeotion with the murder uf George Burke, at GemmeH's Crossing on Sunday evening, and the murderous on the women occupants of the house. The search for Meyhew lias been prosecuted day and night since the tragedy. Miles of the riverbed and countryside have been scoured, but without lcsult. ' The condition ot Miss Mary Burke, who w«s shot tlirough the lung, shows slight improvement, while Mrs. Barnbury is making fair progress.
