In order to relieve tho pressure on tho accommodation of the Dunedin Hospital, tho Red Cross Executive has acquired a resider.ee mid grounds at Jlontecillo which it is proposed to equip and maintain as a convalescent homo for wounded and maimed soldiers permanently discharged from hospital. Cabinet has approved of tho scheme, and will give financial assistance. The homo will be under tho guidanco of tho Defonce Department.
