BASE RECORDS SMOKE CONCERT

The Base Records Cricket Club held their second annual smoke concert (in •Saturday night, in the Masonic Hall, Boulcott Street, under the chairmanship of Major Norton Francis, CM.6. The large gathering of club nißnibers.. reinforced by visitors from various clubs, spent a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Mr. C. G. Wilson and Mr. Willis, chairman and seoretary respectively, represented the Cricket Association. The usual toasts were enthusiastically honoured, and the musical items suitably interspersed, all rendered by local talent, were well received. Apologies were received from Mr. W. H. Montgomery, Mr. B. A. Marris. Mr. D. MTLenzie, and Staff-Sergeant Cleland.
