Ghristchurch, March 13.

Tho Congregational Union Conference closed to-day. The Eev. J. Heed Glasson (Wellington), who will next year complete 25 years' service with the Congregational "Union of New Zealand, and as. a minister of the Terrace Congregational Church, Wellington, was Unanimously elected chairman for the yeifr 1919. Other offices were filled as follow:—Secretary, the Rev. A. E. Hunt; treasurer, Mr. F. Meadowcroft; registrar, the Rev. A. H. Wallacej auditor', Mr. H. Miller; preacher, the Rev. S. Griffiths, (Waipu).
