CONGREGATIONAL UNION CONFERENCE
LONDON MISSIONARY SOCIETY'S REPORT.
By Teloeraph-Press Association. Christchuroh, March 12
At the Congregational Union Conference to-day the llev. A. E. Hunt read the London Missionary Society's report, which showed the serious depletion of the society's staff owing to the demands of the war. The financial position ,of the New Zealand Auxiliary was encouraging a substantial increaso in contributions being recorded. A letter, from a New Zealand lady, one of the society's missionaries in Samoa, stated that the native church there had raised £9000 for 1917. After much discussion a motion was passed urging that a colleague should be appointed to assist Miss Jean Begg at Samoa.
