The Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co..* Ltd.. report:—At Eketahuna on Friday we had a good entry of sheep, which we submitted to the usual attendance of buyers. The sale was rather a dragging one, and a number of lines were passed at auction, though most of them were sold privately afterwards. We quote:— Two-tooth owes, 30s. Id. 'to. 315.; four and five-year ewes, 20s. to 225.;' cull owes, 53. to 9a.'9d.; small two-tooth wethers. 20s. 9d: to 25b. 6d.; woolly wether lambs. 195.; small ditto. 6s. 6d.: b.f. lambs. 14s. 6d.; medium w.f. lambs. 12b. to 12s. 6d. to 15s. The Wairarapa Farmers' Co-operative Association, Ltd., stock department, report' on their Carterton sale as under :-\Vo submitted a good yarding of sheep, cattle, and pigs to a fair attendance. Practically the whole of the yarding was disposed of at the following prices: Sheep-Light fat ewes and .wethers. 295.
