March, 1018. [A reservist who was rejected on account of short sight may V> called for re-examination in order to determine if his sight has improved. Defects of the vision are not necessarily permanent. The medical officers state that in their experience men with short sight, if the defect is not serious in degree, may ha benefited materially by military training. The building up of the physique and the freedom from the strain of office work, may strengthen the eyes quickly. The' medical officers, in '.linking the re-examination of reservists, originally rejected on account of woalf sight, have to keep in mind the possibility that the men overstated the extent of their disability.]
