FIRST READING OF STATIONS .By Telegraph—Press Association. Ounedin, March 2. At the Methodist Conference to-day the Revs. Foster and Warburtou, probationers, fourth year, 'were received into full connection.. The ordination was fixed for to-morrow The Rev. Rakena Piripi, avlio has-travelled for four years, was received into full connection, and will be ordained to-morrow as a Native minister. Tho Rev. Sullivan, chaplain in England, passed in a year of probation. His health has broken down, and he will soon be released from the Forces. The Revs. Minifie and Slade, who have travelled for two years, passed in third year probation. Probationers who have travelled for two years and have now passed in a year were:—Oswold Burnett, Robert Fordyco, William Hocking, Ernest Sage, Charles Kendon (tho lastnamed now in camp). , Those who have travelled one year and were jossed:—John Dennis, Frederick Parker, Tom Dent, John Nelson, Alfred Costain (the lastnam.-d now in camp). It was reported that five students, S. Mogridge E. Olds, W. Smith, W. Blight, and E. Chambers, are with the Forces. Conference decided that the names of theso students be kept on the president's list of reserves. . Conference decided to call on the Government to submit the question of Prohibition to a vote of the peopto without further delay.

The Rot. Uoyes moved that in view of the report as to the treatment of conscientious objectors, Conference request the Minister of Defence to set up a commission of inquiry. It was stated that the Department demeci tho allegations of ill-treatment of the men. 'After further discussion it was decided to proceed to the next business.
