\. .Studebaker stands Taxi Test: ..Christchurch Owners Tell How, There are now a round dozen of Studebaker touring cars plying for hire in the streets of Christchurch. Their combined mileage to date aggregates 130,000, and careful investigation of the running record of each car shows that there have been NO STOPPAGES DUE TO MECHANICAL TROUBLE in the whole of that mileage. • | . 1 The men who own and drive these cars are all experienced motorists. Most-of them have owned many cars of other makes before finally selecting the Studebaker as the best value for their purposes. When they tell why they have reason to consider the Studebaker the most satisfactory car for hard business service on the market it is worth while listening, because they KNOW. Some Golden Opinions of Studebaker Merit: Mr. JOSEPH DALLAS, licensed taxi proprietor (Hereford Street Stand), has had one of the latest model 4-cylinder touring Studebakers in service for about seven months, in which time the oar has run 6000 mileis. He previously owned a Wolseley car.' He says: - " My Studebaker car has given every satisfaction, and I oorisider it in every way a most suitable car for hire work. "With a Studebaker OWE IS NOT AFRAID TO TACKLE ANY JOB ON ANY ROAD, the car being all right for hill work. I am getting hold of a lot of big work now which I could not undertake with the lower-powerod car. The starting and lighting outfit on this Studebaker have nover given me any trouble. In fact I have never yet had a stop < caused by mechanical trduble." / , Mr. GHORQ-E COOPER, lioensed taxi proprietor (Post Office Stand), uses a 1914 model 4-oyl. Studebaker touring oar, whioh has run about 5000 miles while in his possession. Previously he has owned, in succession, three Overlands and a Talbot. He says:— " I cannot say too muoh in favour of the Studebaker. 1 his one of mine is OUT ON HER OWN BOTH FOR ECONOMY AND GOOD RUNNING, and her behaviour has been abso- , lutely satisfactory. The self-starter has never failed me, and the electric lighting equipment could not be better. The oar has never held me up yet, and if I wanted another car to-day I should never look past the Studebaker." Mr. EDWARD HENZELL, licensed taxi proprietor (Grand Theatre Stand), runs a latest model 4-cyl. Studebaker touring car, whioh has covered about 5500mileB to date. Previously he owned . a Unic car. He says:— ■ > / "lam quite satisfied with my Studebaker car. I have had no meohanioal trouble, self-.', starter and electric lighting apparatus having given unbroken service throughout. I have had no garage repairs, and CONBIDSit THE STODEBAKER a:FIRST-CLASS CAHFOR HARD WOHK." v PRICES: Touring and Roadster Models, 4-cylinder, £445; 6-cylinder, £525; 10-passenger Express Model, 4cylinder, £445; 15cwt.
