CRAWFORD'S BIG DAY BOWLINC RECORD AND CENTURY. Cricket at tho Basin Reserve on Saturday was inado interesting chiefly by t.lio excellent play of J. Crawford. Boys' Institute Old Boys and Banks' College met on Saturday at Kelburn in what practically meant the final of the third-grade championship. On the previous occasion when the teams met the college managed to secure the verdict by two runs on the first innings. Bank's College, batting first, secured 127 runs, Foster playing good, sound cricket for 53, and Atkinson (25) being the principal scorers. Institute compiled 298 runs for five wickets. 0. Bell scored 134 runs not out in an hour and a half by clever, all-round strokes, without giving a chance. When AV. Ilnrt came in there was only thirty minutes' play left, and in this time lie hit up 90 runs. Hart hit 39 runs off ten balls—l 9 in one over and 20 in another over.
