By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, February 15. The extremely hot weather of the earlier part of the week has been succeeded by light southerly rain, which will cause a further delay in tho harvesting operations. Most of the crop on tho plains now, however, has been secured, but a number of farmers have been waiting to thrash out of stook iustea dof thrashing. Although very little wheat is being offered m tho city, sales are being mado fairly freely 111 the country. Delivories are being made at local mills, and the first shipment is being made to Auckland. A good deal of the wheat coming forward is off colour, hut some of tho lines are in excellent condition. Oats are in demand, but very few are obtainable at present. The same may bo said of oatsheaf chaff, the price of which is now £4 to £4 ss. at country stations, for immediate delivery. There is no business doing in potatoes. Owing to the unfavourable weather on Banks Peninsula for cocksfoot, there is very little of this seed }et offering from there.
