WRIT TO ISSUE TO-MORROW ROLLS STILL OPEN It had been expected that the writ for the holding of an election to fill tfhe vacancy caused by the retirement of Mr. Herdman as member for Wellington North, would be issued to-day. This would have meant that tho rolls would have closed to-day against the enrolment of electors. It lias been announced, however, that the writ is not to issue until to-morrow, mid the rolls will be open until to-morrow evening at six o'clock. A meeting of Mr. Luke's committee and supporters will bo held at tho committee room, Lainbtou Quay, opposite the Midland Hotel, at 8 o'clock to-night. Mr. A', de B. Brandon announces that he will deliver the opening address of bis campaign at the Kelburn Kiosk to-morrow evening.
