ORDER OP DRUIDS

The Royal Arch Chapter, U.A.0.D., hold its monthly meeting oil Wednesday night, there being a good attendance of members, presided over by the Hoyal Arch Druid, lira. A. J. Norris, assisted by the R.V.A..-Bro. T. A. Tullett. One member of the Order was admitted into the First Degree of the Chapter and three into, the I'ast Arch Degree. P.D.P. Bro. T. G. Snrjeant, of Coronation. Lodge, who-was recently elected Royal Arch Secretary and Treasurer, . vice Past Royal. Secretary Bro. J. Crombie, resigned, was installed into the dual position, the coremonv being carried out m a very impressive maimer, by P.lt.A. Bros. .T. Johnstone, assisted by I'.U.S. Bro. W. Crombie, who acted as Master of Ceremonies. The R-.A.D. congratuTated the Chapter oil securing the. services of such an experienced Druid as Bro. Sarjeant, who, since his initiation in the Star of the West Lodge, Greymonth, over thirty _ years ago, had always' taken an activo part in the affairs of the Order. The R.A.D. and others niado eulogistic references to fclio. good work done by P.R.S. Bro. Crombie, who had acted as secretary and treasurer for a number of years, and had been instrumental in bringing the Chapter to the degree of usefulness to -which it had attained. P.R.A. Bro. Johnstone .received, tributes m praise for the interest displayed by him ill bringing down this very important scheme at the cost of much time and labour to himself. R.A.B. Bro. P. J. Mulhiis gave notice that lie would at the next meeting introduce a scheme for discussion in connection -with the proposal to establish juvenile lodges.
